The Hobart Aquatic Centre offers occasional child care for parents with children up to 7 years of age. Our Child Care service is designed for you and your child. We aim to provide a safe, happy and rewarding care environment for your child whilst you enjoy the Aquatic Centre's facilities, secure in the knowledge that your child is being well cared for by our friendly, professional staff. Our diverse activities and programs help promote intellectual, social and creative learning. Child Care activities include drawing, story reading, music, songs, playground play and toys.
General Information
Each child may be in care for a maximum of 2 hours per day. On arrival parents are required to sign the attendance book and state who will be collecting their child. Children will not be allowed to leave the Centre with persons other than those that have been authorised.
Child Care bookings can be made at the Child Care Centre or via the Aquatic Centre's main reception. For more information please see the Child Care staff. The Department of Education Regulations limits the number of children in the Child Care Centre at any one time. It is therefore essential for children to arrive and depart according to booked times. The full fee shall be charged for any cancellation.
An enrolment form must be completed on, or prior to your child's first visit to the Child Care Centre. Information on this form authorises the Child Care staff to act on your behalf in case of an emergency. Enrolment forms are available from the Child Care Centre or the Aquatic Centre's main reception.
