No amendments have been made since 10th July 2008.

City of Hobart Planning Scheme 1982

6/2009 Amendment - City of Hobart Planning Scheme 1982 – Correction of Error - Clause AS1.4

The Tasmanian Planning Commission has given final approval to the above amendment which came into operation on 3 November 2009.

The amendment amends Schedule K Clause AS1.4, sub-clause (a) by identifying Precincts to which a maximum permitted site coverage of 375m2 on lots greater than 1500m2 applies.

2/2009 Amendments - City of Hobart Planning Scheme 1982 - Maximum Plot Ratio

The Tasmanian Planning Commission has given final approval to the above amendments which came into operation on 13 November 2009.

The amendments are as follows:

  • Amendment 2/2009 - 1: Amend Part 4 Principle P.8 by omitting 'in no case shall the plot ratio exceed the maximum plot ratio for the relative density zone'.
  • Amendment 2/2009 - 2: Amend Schedule B, Clause B.1.1 by omitting the definition for 'maximum plot ratio' and substituting a new definition that removes the prohibition of develoment exceeding the Maximum Plot Ratio.
  • Amendment 2/2009 - 3: Amend Schedule B by re-titling Section B.4 and reordering Clause B.5.1 as B.4.2.
  • Amendment 2/2009 - 4: Amend Schedule B by omitting Clause B.4.3.
  • Amendment 2/2009 - 5: Amend Shedule B by re-titling Section B.5, and omitting Clause B.5.1 and substituting for it a new Clause detailing the basis upon which Council may permit extensions that exceed the plot ratio applicable to a site.
