2009 Hobart Exceptional Customer Service AwardsEntry Terms and Conditions1. Entry is open from 1 July to 31 July 2009 inclusive. 2. Only businesses that have registered to participate in the Hobart Exceptional Customer Service Awards with the Hobart City Council are eligible to be nominated in both the Business and Individual categories. 3. Nominated individuals and businesses must work/operate within the Hobart Council municipal area. 4. Nomination form is only valid if completed in full. 5. Nominated individuals and businesses do not have to accept nomination. 6. Only customers whose individual or business nominations were selected as finalists will be eligible for the prize draw. 7. The name of the competition winner will be published in the Public Notices section of The Mercury on Wednesday 7 October 2009. 8. The nominated business or individual must complete an Acceptance Form and return by the date indicated on the Acceptance Form in order to be eligible to participate in the judging process. 9. If selected as a finalist, the nominee will be required to attend an interview with a panel of judges, dates and time to be advised. Nominated finalists unable to attend the interview will be ineligible to win. 10. The nominated spokesperson for the business will be the person invited to attend the interview with the judges for the Business Awards. 11. A winner will be selected from the finalists in each of the following individual categories: Retail, Hospitality, Wellbeing Service and Professional Service. 12. A winner will be selected from the finalists in each of the following business categories - Business Excellence (10 or less full time employees), Business Excellence (more than 10 full time employees), New Business Excellence (10 or less full time employees), that commenced trading on or after 30 June 2008. 13. Hall of Fame nominees will be collated by the Hobart City Council by the way of nominations from previous years. Individuals and business finalists are eligible for this award. 14. The judges have the right to re-assign a business or individual into another category as they see fit. 15. Award winners will be announced at the Hobart Exceptional Customer Service Awards Presentation evening to be held on 1 October 2009 (TBC). Finalists must be in attendance or nominate a representative to receive the award in their place. 16. Finalists must agree to have their photograph taken and published. 17. Nominee information, footage and photographs taken by the Hobart City Council will become the property of the Council and may be used for promotional and publicity purposes. 18. Photographs submitted by applicants will not be used for promotional purposes. 19. Photographs submitted by applicants will not be returned unless requested. 20. A nominee’s entry will become invalid if they terminate employment form the employer stated on their nomination (during the period 1 July – 25 September 2009 inclusive). It is the responsibility of the nominee to advise the Hobart City Council of changes to employment. 21. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. |
